We got off the ship and headed to the airport in Ushuaia. We didn't fly out until 1 ish but went to the airport anyway since the security is so slow. They only have one screening device which makes it awfully slow for such a busy little airport.
it is very, very windy here in El Calafate where we saw some sheep shearing and then had a typical BBQ along with a Tango demonstration.
The airplane had a very bumpy ride down and a bumpy landing. When we realized we could hardly walk down the stairs from the airplane due to the wind, we understood why the flight was rough. That pilot made an excellent landing in those conditions. Whew!
We had some donut type goodies before our little tour.
Sheep shearing. When the person was done the wool was all in one nice rectangular piece.
Walt tried this dark beer which looked like a Pepsi in the glass.
The Tango demonstration.
