We began our day with a big crowd at breakfast and then headed over to St. Stephen's Cathedral, (a different St. Stephen from yesterday).
Neat roof of the cathedral
We then walked by the Spanish riding schools that used to be called the Lippizans. The horses are now bred in Austria and not in Spain, so to be politically correct, they are now called horses.
If you look carefully you can see the horses.
We walked around the area and saw various Sisi Museum who was Austrian equivalent of Lady Di. She was very beautiful but very very strange.
The following photos are religious relics that belong to the Habsburgs. The first
one is a bowl that was to have held the blood of Jesus from the crucifixion.
This relic is a portion of the true cross-notice nail hole.
Then off to the Imperial apartments where the Emperor lived.
We did have lunch at a pastry shop which was really quite neat. We could actually see how they were making and decorating these lovely morsels.
A bee cake
This is a cute bra cake.
Papa enjoying his coffee and yummy cake.
The Art Museum was really quite nice. The building itself is remarkable.
This is a salt cellar. Can you imagine rolling this down the table to get your salt for your fries? It had little wheels so you could.
We saw a few more sites before dinner of Wiener schnitzel which could have fed a family of 4 easily.
The Vienna Boys choir was also on our list this evening, but hadn't realized the choir has adults both men and women. They also had interpretive dancers along with it. Rather strange.
It was a busy day.
Some fun things from the day.
