ISRAEL AND JORDAN THURS. OCT 15, 2015

We spent the whole day flying or so.  It was a 12 hour flight from Newark.  It sure was nice to be in Business Class using our miles.  We were able to stretch out and sleep at least in spurts between announcements of turbulence.  It was actually a pretty decent flight despite the length.

Nice sunset from Newark airport looking at New York.

Our flight attendant was very convincing when it came to choosing our order.  He would not take no for an answer in regard to some things.  He was very diligent and attentive and his Hebrew was used for various announcements.  He just wanted Walt to have coffee or tea instead of an alcoholic beverage. 😀

We went through passport control and then used a blue ticket to get to baggage claim to meet someone for our transfer to our hotel.  We are at the Leonardo Hotel Basel which is along the sea.  No we do not have a water view,  a back alley view.  We got some shekels and then settled in at the lobby with a local beer and wine.  🍷🍺.   We will have to hit the deck since we have to have our luggage out by 6 AM tomorrow morning.

The signs are in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
This cement truck just looked a little funny with a sort of smile.

At last a chance to relax.
