This map gives a general idea of where we are going and the close proximity to Egypt to the southwest, and Lebanon and Syria to the North. We will also see some parts of Jordan which is just east of Israel.
We arrive in Tel Aviv and the following day we will head in the northern direction for a couple of days where we will see the following:
Caesarea (aqueduct, theater and fortress), Haifa (Mt. Carmel, Baha'l Garens), The Sea of Galilee (which is now called Lake Tiberias), Cana, Nazareth and many more places for those first several days. It looks like we have a very busy itinerary which makes it difficult for me to catch up with my blog. It appears that we should have WiFi at least in the lobby areas of our hotels.
Here is a map of some of the sites we will be seeing in Northern Israel. We will see most of the ten that are listed.
We are now trying to reread some of the information about points of interest. We are also trying to think about what kind of weather in order to pack appropriately. It is a desert area and that means the days could still be fairly warm but the evenings and early mornings might be cool. We will need to check out the weather channel before we leave. The time zone is also 7 hours ahead of eastern time. That ought to mess up our sleep patterns a bit. Either way we will be raring to go and excited about this new journey.
